WhatsApp’s Proxy setting won’t connect
Check Did you enter a Proxy302 host and port there?
Fix That field only takes a WhatsApp proxy server. Remove it and use the proxy in a browser profile or a proxy app instead.
WhatsApp’s own proxy box won’t take your proxy. Here is where a fixed IP does work.
WhatsApp has been blocked in mainland China since September 2017. In Russia, calls on WhatsApp and Telegram have been restricted since August 2025, and in February 2026 WhatsApp said Russia had attempted to block it completely. From those networks WhatsApp needs an exit in a country where it works.
Teams that run several WhatsApp accounts — sales, support, community managers — want each account kept apart as well. WhatsApp ties every account to a primary phone, which can link up to four more devices such as WhatsApp Web, so the workable setup is one number, one browser profile and one fixed IP per account.
A static ISP IP gives that account consistency: the same home-broadband address in one country every time, not a VPN exit that many people share and that changes between sessions.

| Item | WhatsApp proxy setting | Proxy302 proxy |
|---|---|---|
| What it connects to | A WhatsApp proxy server: a TCP relay that forwards to WhatsApp | An HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy with a username and password |
| What you enter | A host, plus optional chat and media ports — no login fields | Host, port, username and password from My assets |
| Where it goes | Settings → Storage and Data → Proxy in the phone app | A browser or antidetect profile running WhatsApp Web, or a proxy app for the whole phone |
| Calls | Not supported while a proxy is set | Not tested by us — plan on messages and media |
WhatsApp’s proxy FAQ on GitHub says WhatsApp supports nothing but TCP proxying, not an HTTP proxy in between. A Proxy302 proxy therefore goes into the browser or the phone, never into WhatsApp’s own Proxy setting.

| Item | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Product | Static ISP proxy | A fixed home-broadband IP that stays the same for the whole lease |
| How many IPs | One per WhatsApp account | Each account keeps its own address |
| Country | One where WhatsApp works, e.g. the US or the UK | Keep each account in the same country |
| Protocol | SOCKS5 for antidetect browsers and v2rayNG; HTTP or SOCKS5 for Shadowrocket | You choose it at purchase and the IP keeps it |
| Term | Renew before the end date | Auto-renewal isn’t available yet; renewing keeps the same IP |
The button below opens static ISP proxies for social accounts. Pick the country, the protocol and Quantity — one IP per account, up to 100 at a time — before you pay.

In My assets, View credentials shows host, port, username and password; Copy all copies them in one go.
In an antidetect browser such as AdsPower, create one profile per account, paste that account’s proxy and open web.whatsapp.com. On the primary phone tap Linked devices → Link a device and scan the QR code.
On iPhone add the proxy to Shadowrocket; on Android add a SOCKS5 proxy to v2rayNG. Switch it on, open ipinfo.io to confirm the exit country, then open WhatsApp.
Open WhatsApp on the primary phone at least every 14 days, or the linked browser sessions log out.
Before continuing From mainland China the proxy usually can’t be reached directly: run the Proxy302 Helper (Connect → Helper tools) and use its local address and port in the profile or the phone app — a phone must be on the same Wi-Fi as that computer.

Check Open ipinfo.io in the same profile. Is the exit in a country where WhatsApp works?
Fix Fix the profile’s proxy settings — in mainland China, point them at the Helper — then reload.
Check Has the primary phone gone unused for more than 14 days, or a linked device been idle for 30 days?
Fix Open WhatsApp on the primary phone regularly and link the device again.
Check Are you on WhatsApp’s own proxy setting, or on a network that restricts WhatsApp calls?
Fix WhatsApp doesn’t support calls over its proxy setting, and we haven’t tested calls over ours. Use messages and media.
No. That setting connects to a WhatsApp proxy server, a TCP relay, and WhatsApp says it doesn’t support an HTTP proxy in between. Use the proxy in a browser profile or a proxy app for the whole phone.

One. Give every account its own number, its own browser profile and its own static IP.
Yes. WhatsApp needs the primary phone to register the account and link new devices, and linked devices log out if the phone goes unused for more than 14 days.
WhatsApp’s own help center explains how to connect through a proxy. What it warns about is linking an account through unofficial apps or websites, which can lead to a temporary or permanent ban — stick to the official apps and web.whatsapp.com.
Static. A rotating IP changes between sessions, so a signed-in account would show up from many addresses. Rotating residential suits public research, not accounts.
Which countries block Discord, YouTube, Instagram, Telegram and more — and hourly checks showing all 38 platforms reachable through residential IPs in 7 countries.
Set up a proxy in AdsPower, BitBrowser, GoLogin, Kameleo, Hidemium or GenLogin: one IP per profile, where each field goes, and what a failed proxy check really means.
Check the exit IP, country and ISP your proxy really gives you in 30 seconds — and why IP databases disagree on the city. With our own test of three lookup services.
What separates rotating residential, static ISP and datacenter proxies — who owns the IP, whether it changes, how you pay — and which one Proxy302's own presets pick for each job.
Add a Proxy302 HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy to Shadowrocket on iPhone: which boxes to fill, how to switch it on, how to check your exit IP and what to do in mainland China.
Add a Proxy302 SOCKS5 proxy to v2rayNG on Android, test the connection and check your exit IP. HTTP-only datacenter IPs: use Postern, or get a SOCKS5 one.
Use Proxy302 from mainland China: download the free Helper, keep it running, and paste its local address into AdsPower, the Chrome extension or your phone.
