Shadowrocket on iPhone: Set Up a Proxy302 Proxy

Put a Proxy302 IP on your iPhone in about two minutes.

What you need

Shadowrocket is a third-party proxy app for iPhone, sold on the App Store. You also need a Proxy302 asset: rotating residential, static residential or datacenter. All three work in Shadowrocket over HTTP or SOCKS5.

Proxy302 also has its own mobile app under Connect > Mobile app. This guide covers Shadowrocket.

In My assets, Copy copies the whole line host:port:username:password so you can read each part from it. Copy for AI hands the same details to your AI assistant instead.

Add the proxy

  1. Get the details

In the console open My assets, find the proxy and press Copy, or open its details. Keep host, port, username and password at hand.

  2. Add a node

Open Shadowrocket and tap + at the top right.

  3. Fill in the box

Choose the type that matches the asset, then fill in address, port, username and password as in the table above. Tap Done to save.

Expected result The new node appears in the list.

  4. Switch it on

Select the node and turn on the connection switch at the top. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, allow it.

Expected result The switch is on and the VPN icon shows in the status bar.

  5. Check the exit IP

Open Safari, visit ipinfo.io and compare the IP and country with the proxy you bought.

Expected result ipinfo.io shows the proxy’s IP and country.

In mainland China

A direct connection to the proxy usually fails from mainland China. On a computer, download and run the Helper (Connect > Helper tools) and keep it open. Put the iPhone on the same Wi-Fi, then in Shadowrocket enter the Helper’s LAN address and port in the Address and Port boxes. Keep the type and the username and password the same as the asset.

Quick fixes

The switch is on but nothing loads

Check The type or port does not match the asset: an HTTP proxy needs HTTP, a SOCKS5 proxy needs SOCKS5.

Fix Edit the node and match the type and port to the asset.

Pages load but the IP is still yours

Check The node may not be selected, or traffic is not routed through the proxy.

Fix Select the proxy node and check that routing sends traffic through it, then reload ipinfo.io.

Authentication failed or HTTP 407

Check A character is missing or a space was copied with the username or password; the asset may have expired or run out of traffic.

Fix Copy the details again from My assets and check the asset status.

Stop when Do not keep retrying before the credentials and asset status are confirmed.

It fails only in mainland China

Check The proxy needs an overseas network.

Fix Run the Helper (or a VPN) and use its address and port.

Shadowrocket FAQ

Should I choose HTTP or SOCKS5?

Match the asset. Rotating gateway: HTTP uses port 2222 and SOCKS5 uses 3333. Static and datacenter IPs keep the port shown on the asset. Datacenter IPs support both protocols (since 17 October 2026).

Can I use one rotating proxy line on several phones?

A rotating line is one set of credentials that can be used wherever you need it. Static IPs are meant for one account each.

Does this work on Android?

Shadowrocket is iPhone-only. On Android, use v2rayNG for SOCKS5.
