Gemini works but AI Studio says it isn't available in your region
Check Is your exit country on the AI Studio and Gemini API list, not just the Gemini app list?
Fix Move to an IP in a country on both lists, such as the US, and reload AI Studio.
Google keeps two availability lists. One fixed IP in a country on both keeps Gemini, AI Studio and the API working together.
Live
Every hour we open Gemini through Proxy302 residential IPs in several countries. These are the latest checks.

Only the first three octets of each IP are shown. Checked on dynamic residential IPs through the public Proxy302 entry.
Google runs two different availability lists. The Gemini web app is offered in more than 230 countries and territories, including Hong Kong and Macau; mainland China appears only as "Workspace only", and Russia isn't listed.
Google AI Studio and the Gemini API have a separate, shorter list: mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Russia are all missing, and anyone outside it lands on a "not available in your region" page. So the same Google account can open the Gemini app but not AI Studio, depending on where it connects from.
Mainland China adds one more layer: in GreatFire's tests gemini.google.com is blocked and Google sign-in at accounts.google.com is unreliable, so a cross-border route comes first. A static ISP IP in a country on both lists keeps the app, AI Studio and API calls on one fixed exit. It changes your network location, not Google's terms.

| Criterion | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Product | Static ISP proxy | One address for the Google account; rotating IPs change between requests |
| Billing | Per IP and term, 1 month | Per-GB static lines don't promise the same IP long term |
| How many IPs | One per Google account | Accounts don't share an address |
| Country | A country on both Google lists — the preset picks the US | AI Studio's list is shorter than the Gemini app's |
| Protocol | SOCKS5 (preset) or HTTP | SOCKS5 for antidetect browsers; HTTP for the extension, curl and SDKs |
| IP changes | Never during the term | Renew in My assets to keep the same IP |
The Configure button at the top of this page opens the console's Gemini proxy preset with these settings filled in. Every setting stays editable.

| Criterion | Static ISP | Rotating residential | Datacenter |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | A dedicated IP registered to an internet provider, yours for the whole term | Real household IPs that rotate per request or hold a sticky session | Fast fixed server IPs |
| Price | Per IP and term — live price at checkout | From US$1.50/GB; US$1.35/GB at 100 GB | Per IP — the lowest cost per IP |
| Best for Gemini | The Gemini app and AI Studio — one fixed IP per Google account | Not for signed-in Google accounts: the IP keeps changing | Gemini API jobs on servers where a residential address isn't needed |
Prices in US dollars; the wallet uses PTC at 1 PTC = US$1. Top up, then buy the line you need. Auto-renewal isn't available yet, so renew the IP in My assets before the term ends to keep it.
The Configure button opens Gemini proxy in the console: Billing is Per IP and term, Use case is AI subscriptions and Gemini is selected under Choose a platform. Check Region (United States by default), keep Protocol on SOCKS5 for an antidetect browser or switch to HTTP for the extension and the API, set Term to 1 month, set Quantity to the number of IPs you need (one for each Google account, up to 100 at a time), then click Review cost and generate.
Expected result The IP appears in My assets; Copy all copies host, port, username and password.
Install the Proxy302 browser extension (Downloads and setup at the bottom of /guides) and sign in with Log In to Your Account. In My assets, click Use extension on this IP's row (the extension takes HTTP IPs only), then press Connect in the extension. Open ipinfo.io: the country must be the one you bought.
Sign in at gemini.google.com, then open aistudio.google.com in the same browser. If only AI Studio refuses, your exit country is on the app list but not the API list — switch to a country on both.
Before continuing If your network can't reach the proxy directly, start the helper tool first (Connect → Helper tools) and tick Use Helper in the extension.
Use an HTTP IP and pass it to curl or your SDK's HTTP client. Run the read-only test below before sending real requests.

# List the models your API key can use, through the proxy (HTTP line).
curl -x "http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT" \
"https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/v1beta/models" \
-H "x-goog-api-key: $GEMINI_API_KEY"models.list is a read-only call, so it's a safe first test. A 200 response with a model list means the key and the route work; then point your SDK or script at the same proxy.

Fix Move to an IP in a country on both lists, such as the US, and reload AI Studio.
Check Open ipinfo.io in the same browser profile. Is this browser actually using the proxy?
Fix Turn the extension proxy on for this profile and close other VPNs or proxies so only one layer is active.
Check Does the account move between this IP, a VPN and your own connection, or share the IP with other accounts?
Fix Keep one Google account on one static IP and stay on it.
Check Does the response come back at all? A timeout means the route; a 4xx with a message comes from Google.
Fix For a timeout, check the proxy URL and protocol (HTTP). For a 4xx, read the message — it's about the key, quota or region.
Connect through an IP in a country on Google's list for the product you use and stay on it. For AI Studio and the API, use a country on their shorter list too. The proxy changes your network location, not Google's terms.
Hong Kong is on the Gemini web app list but not on the Google AI Studio and Gemini API list.
One that appears on both lists and that you can keep — the preset uses the US. Avoid switching countries on the same Google account.
Static for anything signed in to a Google account. Rotating residential only for checks that don't sign in.
Choose it under Protocol when you order. SOCKS5 suits antidetect browsers; pick HTTP for the browser extension, curl and most SDKs.
