Why Pinterest ad checks need a local IP

Pinterest ads are open to Business accounts in a fixed list of countries — 88 on 18 October 2026, from the United States, Brazil and Japan to Kazakhstan and Türkiye. Mainland China and Russia are not on it; Hong Kong and Taiwan are. Each market you add is one more place to check from inside.

Advertisers can target by country, region, metro area or postal code, and Ads Manager starts on the business's own country. Metro and postal-code targeting exist only in some countries, so a campaign aimed at a few postal codes in Germany or Brazil is meant for people there.

Each promoted Pin leads to a page on your site, and that page is what the budget pays for. From every target country, check that the pinned product is in stock, priced in the local currency, shippable there and on a page in the right language — before the campaign scales.

Check Pinterest ads and landing pages in 5 steps

  1. Open the setup

Click Configure Pinterest Ads proxies below. The console opens Rotating Residential Proxies with Use case: Ad verification and the Pinterest Ads proxy preset — Premium line, HTTP, United States suggested.

  2. Buy traffic for the line

Under Line keep Premium, or switch to Budget to pay less per GB. Open Add traffic, pick a package or enter Custom GB, and click Buy selected package. Purchases start at 1 GB.

  3. Pick the market and generate

In Connection settings leave Exit mode on Choose region / sticky IP. Choose Region, then State and City if the campaign targets a city. Click Review cost and generate: Proxy302 checks that the new proxy really exits in that country before handing it over. Repeat for each market.

  4. Browse Pinterest like a local

Put the proxy into a fresh browser profile and confirm the exit on an IP-check page. Open pinterest.com, search the keywords your campaign targets and look for your Pins and your competitors' among the results.

  5. Open the Pin's destination

Paste the destination URL of your promoted Pin into the same profile, then check that the product in the image is the one on the page, in stock, in the local currency and shippable to that country. Repeat with the next market's proxy.

Quick fixes

Pinterest says ads aren't available in my region

Check Are you browsing from a country that isn't on Pinterest's ads list? Is your business account's country on it?

Fix That notice is about where you are browsing from, so check through a proxy in a listed country. Whether you can advertise depends on your business account's country, which a proxy doesn't change.

The landing page shows the wrong currency or a sold-out product

Check Does the shop set currency and stock by IP, by browser language or by a saved cookie?

Fix Use a fresh profile per market; if the market's page is wrong, fix the shop's market settings before you spend on that country.

Pinterest or the shop won't load

Check Does an IP-check page in the same profile show the target country?

Fix Fix the profile's proxy or generate one in another city and reload.

Generation stops: “The exit region does not match the selected region”

Check Is supply short for that country on this line right now?

Fix Try again, or switch Line between Premium and Budget and generate again; each line uses its own traffic. The proxy is only delivered once the exit country matches.

Pinterest Ads proxy FAQ

Which countries can run Pinterest ads?

Pinterest lists the countries where Business accounts can advertise — 88 countries and regions when we checked on 18 October 2026. Mainland China and Russia are not on the list; Hong Kong and Taiwan are.

Can I check a city or postal code?

Pinterest can target metros and postal codes in some countries; Proxy302 goes down to city. Choose Region, State and City in Connection settings and pick the city that contains your postal codes.

Does a proxy let me advertise from a country that isn't on the list?

No. Where a Business account can advertise is a Pinterest account setting; the proxy only changes the network location you browse and check from.

Rotating or static proxies for Pinterest ads?

Rotating residential for checks — a fresh local home IP per market. A logged-in business profile you keep in one country belongs on one static ISP IP; see Pinterest proxies for that setup.

HTTP or SOCKS5?

The Pinterest Ads preset starts on HTTP, which works in proxy extensions and scripts. Switch Protocol to SOCKS5 if your antidetect browser prefers it.
