Shopify decides what a visitor sees by where they are. Country and region markets are matched to customers by their geographic location, and the visitor then gets that market's currency, language, product availability and theme customizations. By default your own browser shows you your own market — to check what shoppers in Germany or Japan get, arrive from Germany or Japan.
Shopify says so itself: to preview the Geolocation app's country and language recommendations from your store's default country, you need to simulate browsing from another country. And once a visitor accepts or dismisses a recommendation, they don't see another for 14 days unless cookies are cleared — so every market check needs a clean profile on an IP in that market.
Admin access is separate. Shopify can require two-step authentication on an account, and every staff member sets up their own method. Keep the people who run the store on their own logins, and keep the IPs you use for storefront checks away from admin sessions.

Under Connection settings set Region to a market country (the preset proposes the United States first), keep Term at 1 month and Quantity at 1, then press Review cost and generate. Repeat for each market country, or buy rotating residential traffic for markets you check only now and then.
In AdsPower, GoLogin, Dolphin Anty or Multilogin create one profile per market and paste that market's line from My assets. Set time zone and WebRTC to follow the proxy and don't sign in to the Shopify admin in this profile.
Open ipinfo.io to confirm the country, then your storefront. Note the currency, language, prices, products and the Geolocation recommendation, and take a screenshot.
Expected result The store shows the currency and language you configured for that market.
After you edit a market, check again in the same profile with cookies cleared — a dismissed recommendation stays hidden for 14 days otherwise.

Check Does ipinfo.io in the same profile show the market's country? Is that country part of an active market?
Fix Fix the profile's proxy or regenerate in the right country, and check the market's countries in your Shopify admin.
Check Did this profile already accept or dismiss one in the last 14 days?
Fix Clear the profile's cookies or create a fresh profile on the same IP.
Check Is the proxy line complete, and is the server written as http://HOST:PORT with username and password in their own fields?
Fix Copy host, port, username and password again from My assets and run the ipinfo.io step first.
Visit it from that country. Shopify matches visitors to a market by their location, so open the store in a clean browser profile on an IP in that country.
Because from your default country the Geolocation app has nothing to recommend. A proxy in another country does the same job inside one browser profile, without moving your whole computer.

No. Shopify prohibits accounts and storefront access in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea and the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Proxy302 IPs are for checking your own markets; they don't change which regions Shopify serves.
