WhatsApp proxies
WhatsApp’s own proxy setting takes only a WhatsApp relay. Run WhatsApp Web or the whole phone through a fixed static IP instead: one account, one IP.
View options and pricingIf you are new to proxies and use WhatsApp for business with customers abroad, the IP you log in from affects how reliably the account works over time. WhatsApp ties an account to a phone number and verifies it with an SMS or call code. WhatsApp has not said how the IP affects verification, so the IP is only your exit to the network: a stable exit in a clear country simply keeps your network environment from changing all the time.
WhatsApp has no password login: a code is sent to your number when you register it on a new phone or reinstall. WhatsApp sees the IP of the connection, but it does not say it re-verifies accounts when the IP region changes; a stable exit simply removes one variable.
IP databases label datacenter addresses as datacenter networks and home broadband addresses as residential networks.
Businesses that deal with customers abroad often work across several countries. If the same account's exit IP is in Southeast Asia one day and in Europe the next, there is no way to know from outside whether that triggers verification: WhatsApp has not published the conditions. Keeping the exit in one region removes one unknown.
When an account always uses the same network connection, its exit location stays the same and the source of its connections is stable and predictable.
A static ISP proxy does not change during the lease. The IP is fixed and belongs to a specific country, so it suits one account over the long term.
Which IP to use for WhatsApp depends on the task:
A static IP is an exit address that stays the same over time. It suits account registration, daily customer service and long-term work. When you use WhatsApp Business with customers, a stable exit IP keeps your network environment consistent.
A rotating IP changes the exit address with each connection or at set intervals. It suits data collection and price monitoring, where you view public information from several countries. Rotating IPs do not suit daily logins because the exit keeps changing.
| Item | Characteristics | Suitable Scenarios |
|---|---|---|
| Static IP | Exit remains fixed long-term | Account registration, daily customer service, long-term operations |
| Rotating IP | Exit changes regularly | Data collection, price monitoring, ad detection |
Reference table. Proxy302-specific figures are in the sections below.
“Native IP” is industry slang for an IP whose registration country, the country of the network (ASN) that announces it and the country an exit lookup shows are the same. It is about whether the place of registration matches the place of use, a different dimension from residential versus datacenter.
Our Native IP Guide explains how to check this yourself.
A system proxy works only for apps that follow the system settings. The WhatsApp phone app does not necessarily use the system Wi-Fi proxy: that setting is a hint for browsers and other HTTP software, WhatsApp's chat connection can ignore it, and Android's Wi-Fi proxy has no username or password field.
WhatsApp's own Settings → Storage and data → Proxy accepts only the address of a WhatsApp proxy server, not an HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy with a username and password.
Proxy302 IPs need a username and password. On a phone, use a proxy client app that supports SOCKS5 username and password authentication and routes all traffic. On a computer, open WhatsApp Web in a browser profile that supports authenticated HTTP or SOCKS5 proxies. After setup, check for yourself whether WhatsApp actually goes through the proxy.
Changing an IP address only changes the exit address shown to the outside when you connect. It cannot change an account's registration date, usage history or chat records, nor the platform's decisions about the account.
A stable exit IP combined with following WhatsApp's terms of service is the basis for long-term use.
Free proxies usually come with no stability guarantee and may be used by many people at once, so they do not suit one account over time.
WhatsApp has not publicly stated that Business accounts have different exit IP requirements. For easier management, you can give a Business account its own static exit in a clear country, separate from personal accounts.
If the exit works reliably, you can keep using it; do not replace a working IP just for the sake of it. A static IP lease lasts at most 90 days. To keep the account on the same IP, renew it manually in My assets before the lease ends; if you do not renew, the IP expires and you need a new one. If the exit has a problem, send Support your order number and ask for a reissue.
No. Rotating IPs suit tasks like data collection; daily account logins work better with a fixed exit.
A new IP can rule out network-level factors, but once an account is restricted, changing the IP does not lift the restriction. First find out why the account was restricted, then request a review through WhatsApp's official appeal process.
A static ISP lease fits this routine: the IP stays fixed while the lease runs and does not rotate, so one address stays with one account or one tool. The page on WhatsApp proxies has the preset and the full setup, and the static ISP page describes the product.
WhatsApp has no check of its own, so the table uses another Meta site, Facebook: our latest hourly check through exits in 7 countries.

Hourly check of the Proxy302 probe, 23 October 2026, 15:47 UTC: one request to Facebook per country through a dynamic residential exit, using the public Proxy302 entry. Only the first three octets of an IP are public. One sample per country, not an average; later checks will differ.
Open the static ISP page, choose the country, the term and the quantity, and the protocol, HTTP or SOCKS5. The protocol is fixed for each IP when you buy it.
Generate the IPs, then open My assets (the console page that holds everything you bought) and copy HOST, PORT, USERNAME and PASSWORD. The Connect page shows a ready example with your own endpoint.
Enter the details in the browser profile, tool or phone proxy client that will use the IP.
Check the exit with https://ipinfo.io/json through the proxy. The country field should match the country you chose.
From mainland China, start the helper tool from the Connect page first and keep it open while you use the proxy.
A static ISP IP costs US$0.50 for one day and US$7.99 for 30 days, about US$0.27 per day, the same in every country. Availability changes daily and is shown on the order page. There is no free trial, and the smallest purchase is one IP for one day. An IP does not lift a restriction, undo a ban or raise a limit.
