Why TikTok ad checks need a local IP
TikTok ads can target countries, states, DMAs, cities and ZIP codes — up to 3,000 locations per ad group where available — to reach people located in or regularly in those places. TikTok says location targeting runs on a variety of signals and that its accuracy isn't guaranteed, so what you see from head office says little about what a viewer in Dallas or Riyadh sees.
Which markets an advertiser can reach depends on the country or region the TikTok Ads Manager account was registered in; if a market isn't listed, TikTok may not be available there or can't deliver ads to it. If you advertise in a market where nobody on your team lives, checking from inside that market is the only way to see the campaign as a local does.
TikTok's Creative Center has a Top Ads dashboard of high-performing ads you can filter by region, industry and campaign objective, all authorized by their advertisers. It shows the video, not the page behind it: open that page through a proxy in the same region to see the price, language and offer the viewer lands on.

Open the setup
Click Configure TikTok Ads proxies below. The console opens Rotating Residential Proxies with Use case: Ad verification and the TikTok Ads proxy preset — Premium line, HTTP, United States suggested.
Buy traffic for the line
Under Line keep Premium, or switch to Budget to pay less per GB. Open Add traffic, pick a package or enter Custom GB, and click Buy selected package. Purchases start at 1 GB.
Pick the market and generate
In Connection settings leave Exit mode on Choose region / sticky IP. Choose Region, then State and City if the campaign targets a city. Click Review cost and generate: Proxy302 checks that the new proxy really exits in that country before handing it over. Repeat for each market.
Browse Top Ads for that region
Put the proxy into a fresh browser profile and confirm the exit on an IP-check page. Open TikTok Creative Center, go to Top Ads, set Region to the market and Industry to yours, and note the hooks, offers and landing pages competitors use.
Open the landing page at phone size
Paste your ad's destination URL into the same profile, then switch the profile to a mobile device (in your antidetect browser, or with the device toolbar in Chrome DevTools). Check speed, language, currency, prices and the checkout start — then repeat with the next market's proxy.
Quick fixes
Top Ads shows nothing for my region
Check Is that region one of the markets TikTok can deliver ads to? Are the filters too narrow?
Fix Widen Industry or Objective, or check a neighbouring market. Top Ads only lists ads their advertisers have authorized.
The landing page looks the same from every country
Check Does the site choose the market by IP, by browser language or by a saved cookie?
Fix Use a fresh profile per market and set the browser language. If the site never changes, fix the site's market setup.
Generation stops: “The exit region does not match the selected region”
Check Is supply short for that country on this line right now?
Fix Try again, or switch Line between Premium and Budget and generate again; each line uses its own traffic. The proxy is only delivered once the exit country matches.
TikTok Ads proxy FAQ
Will a proxy show me TikTok ads targeted at another country?
It gives you a network location in that market, which is one signal among several; TikTok doesn't guarantee targeting accuracy, and your account's own history counts too. For a reliable view of what runs there, use Top Ads filtered by region.
How do I see competitors' TikTok ads in a market?
Use Top Ads in TikTok Creative Center with Region set to that market, then open the landing pages through a proxy there to see the offer viewers get.
Can I check a city or ZIP code?
TikTok can target down to ZIP codes; Proxy302 goes down to city. Choose Region, State and City in Connection settings and pick the city that contains the ZIP codes you target.
