What Kameleo is and why pair it with a proxy
Kameleo is a stealth-browsing platform for desktop and mobile profiles; its knowledge base includes an official Proxy302 article.
Each profile or window should leave through its own IP. Proxy302 supplies that IP over HTTP or SOCKS5, and the browser only needs the four connection fields: host, port, username and password.
Set up Proxy302 in Kameleo
Create the proxy in Proxy302
Sign in, pick a proxy product and click create. Proxy302 provides HTTP and SOCKS5.
Start a new profile
In Kameleo click New Profile and select the profile you want.
Set the proxy type
On the Profile Edit page choose HTTP or SOCKS5 to match your Proxy302 asset.
Fill host, port, username and password
Copy the four fields from Proxy302 into Kameleo.
Test the proxy and start
Click Test Proxy, leave the other options on Automatic, then Start. If the browser asks for proxy authentication, enter the username and password again.
Verify the IP
Open ipinfo.io in the profile and compare it with the proxy you generated.

Why does Kameleo ask for a username and password twice?
The first entry is stored in the profile; the browser can also show a proxy-authentication prompt on start. Enter the same Proxy302 credentials.
Do I need a separate proxy for each profile?
Use one fixed IP per account that must keep a stable identity. For research and scraping, one rotating residential pool can serve many sessions.
Which protocol should I choose, HTTP or SOCKS5?
Pick the one your tool supports and match the protocol shown on the asset. HTTP is the safe default; use SOCKS5 when the tool asks for it.
The proxy test fails. What should I check?
Re-copy host, port, username and password without extra spaces, confirm the protocol matches the asset, and make sure the asset has not expired or run out of traffic.
